We all start somewhere. This class is a perfect introduction if you are new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or a great refresher of the basics for those a little more seasoned.
We will explore different styles of yoga so you get a broader feel for different practices & break down the concepts to build confidence in a supportive environment.
You are always encouraged to modify the practice to suit your needs (adjusting for any injuries, limitations, or general fluctuations in energy levels) & here is where you will gain the understanding of how to do this – please let your teacher know of any specifics so they can tailor this guidance for you.
Our beginners classes are a safe place to get aquainted with yoga, to get to know how it feels for you & uncover what styles of practice best suit you. Some will feel called to try different classes quite quickly, others will choose to stay with beginners classes for many months, or even years!
You'll find all kinds of people in class, so don’t be shy - come as you are.

Vinyasa is a vibe! The sanskrit word means ‘to place with purpose’.
This style of practice is designed to cultivate mindfulness - focusing the mind on linking the rhythyms of breath & movements together, building momentum until you completely drop into a flow likened to a moving meditation. There will be less alignment cues in this class to allow for freedom of expression & cultivate creativity.
This dynamic practice may create heat in the body and offer you optional moments to challenge skills and grow in your practice. Each teacher will add their own flavour to a vinyasa practice so you'll always find something new to explore. Sometimes you might get a little sweaty, but you will likely leave feeling energised and revitalised.
This class is most suitable for those with some yoga experience, however beginners are welcome. We offer modifications to suit various levels, but some beginner students will prefer to start with the slower paced classes that provide more instruction, until they become familiar with the various postures.
All of our classes blend elements of yogic phylosophy, pranayama (breathwork), mindfulness and meditation.

Yin Yoga brings a sparkle to your body and mind like no other yoga practice does.
It is a floor-based opportunity to go against the grain of our busy modern lives and drop into stillness, where we can rest in supported poses for 3-5 minutes at a time.
Whether you are a strong and fit athlete, lead a busy life with too little time for exercise, are dealing with an injury or chronic health condition, Yin Yoga has the quality to give you exactly what you need.
Yin targets the subtler elements of ourselves;
Physically, we target the bodies layer of fascia. It can help to relieve muscular tension, stiffness in joints, back and shoulder aches, pain from inflammatory conditions and much more.
Energetically, Yin Yoga can help to shift blocked energy, so that we can experience a sence of balance and ease.
